Aftercare Instructions
Following your treatment, proper aftercare is essential for comfort and healing. Here are general guidelines to support your recovery:
After Root Canal Therapy:
- Mild soreness is normal for a few days
- Take over-the-counter pain medication as recommended
- Avoid chewing on the treated side until fully restored with a crown/filling
- Maintain gentle brushing and flossing around the area
After Apicoectomy (Microsurgery):
- Apply an ice pack to reduce swelling (10 min on, 10 min off for first 24 hours)
- Eat soft foods and avoid chewing near the surgical site
- Take prescribed antibiotics or medications as directed
- Avoid strenuous activity for 24–48 hours
